Helping individuals slowly get back to the community
The facility will encourage the clients to hold community meetings to include all patients on the unit. These meetings will be called and held in the facility by the elected community designated. During this time, issues are identified that affect the community as a whole such as housekeeping, interpersonal problems between patients, sharing information, and offering suggestions. The therapeutic focus of this meeting will be on how patients are progressing and the sharing of their daily individual goals. Peer support and encouragement are emphasized.
